Overview
Phases: The project constitutes Eco City Phase 1 and Phase 2. Phase 1 covers approximately 400 acres, whereas Phase 2 has an area of around 450 acres, both designed as integrated residential and commercial townships

Location: Lying in the picturesque foothills of the Shivalik hills, the townships are located in New Chandigarh, with strategic connectivity to Chandigarh, education, and medical centers.
Project Highlights
Land Pooling: Both phases adopted a 100% land pooling model, where land owners became stakeholders in the development rather than being displaced.
Plot Sizes: Residential plots available in different sizes: 100, 150, 200, 250, 300, 400, 500 sq yards and even bigger in new extensions.
Allotment: The allotments were issued mainly by draw, with more than 160,000 applications received for Eco City 1 reflecting strong demand from homebuyers and investors.
Development: Top contractors (Larsen & Toubro being a notable example) implement infrastructure with a project outlay for roads, water supply, sewerage, electric, and horticulture services.
Amenities & Infrastructure
Town Planning: Broad metalled roads, water supply through pipelines, underground sewage, rainwater harvesting, nursery plots, school land, commercial showrooms, and committed parks fall under project planning.
Commercial Pockets: Phases recently developed have large commercial showrooms (300 sq yards), two-storey bay shops, schools, sports, and institutional land.
Sustainability: Green belt areas and environmental equilibrium focus areas because of proximity with the Shivalik hills.
Project Status & Recent Developments
Ecocity 1: Completely subscribed, with majority ownership available, and already occupied families in developed areas.
Ecocity 2: Foundation works are complete. New commercial and residential clusters (more than 100 plots, 66 commercial) are coming up, and tenders for ₹50 crore are floated for development in 2025.
Future Expansion: Further extensions and bigger plots are proposed, with emphasis on meeting increasing demand and environmental studies for further development.
