Ecocity 1 New Chandigarh is an ultra-modern township developed by GMADA (Greater Mohali Area Development Authority) in Mullanpur near north of Chandigarh, Punjab.
Location:

The township has an area of about 400 acres and was conceptualized to house the spillover of Chandigarh and Mohali’s anticipated growth.
Plot Allotment:
Having been launched in 2011, Eco City 1 provided approximately 836–863 residential plots of sizes 100, 200, 300, 400, and 500 square yards, all plots of which were allotted through draw lots. Over 1,60,000 applications were filed for the first allotment.
Land Acquisition:
A 100% land pooling scheme was adopted by GMADA, allotting plots and commercial property to farmers in lieu of their agricultural land and making them owners of the development without displacement.

Larsen & Toubro Ltd carried out main infrastructure work at an estimated cost of ₹151 crore.
