Ecocity New Chandigarh is a planned plotted township by GMADA (Greater Mohali Area Development Authority), located in Mullanpur, New Chandigarh, Punjab.
It is being developed in phases (Phase‑1, Phase‑2) over several hundred acres.
The land acquisition is under a Land Pooling Scheme, which means farmers keeping part ownership in plots, compensation etc, instead of traditional acquisition.
Ecocity New Chandigarh The planned residential complex under GMADA, Ecocity New Chandigarh is the new Ultra modern Township in Mullanpur, New Chandigarh. Very much synonymous to its name, it is placed amidst green lush areas. The scheme introduced in 2011 for the allotment of 836 residential plots received one-sided response as about 1, 60,000 forms were submitted.
Planned to the south of MDR-B, Eco City Phase-I is under development on a site of 400 acres, which has been taken on 100% Land Pooling basis, thus keeping the farmers as stakeholders and no farmer has been displaced. Construction activities are on a roll at the location and are expected to be completed by January, 2014. Construction is being undertaken by M/s Larsen & Toubro Ltd.
Approximately 310 acres of land is being acquired for Eco City Phase-II. The land owners whose land will be taken over for the project shall be compensated according to the policy.
Ecocity 1 New Chandigarh Has more traditional residential plot sizes, from small starter plots (100 sq yd) up to large premium sizes (500 sq yd) offerings.

Ecocity New Chandigarh is an ultra-modern plotted township in New Chandigarh. These plots were allotted through a draw scheme in year 2011. About 1,60,000 applications were received by Gmada for allotting a total of 863 plots sized 100/200/300/400/500 square yards. and other plots alloted under Land Pooling Scheme by Gmada, & Now All Plots Are Ready To Possession, and Many Peoples Already Constructed their homes as well, they reside here happily.
